Samsung C&T's Construction Division today (August 2, 2026) joins hands with NewSeniorLife, an operator of care-type senior towns, to introduce an 'AI Senior Living Solution,' pioneering an innovative senior care market in the rapidly changing aging society.

The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) this morning at a location in Seoul for the introduction of the 'AI Senior Living Solution' and business cooperation, marking the beginning of full-scale collaboration. This agreement is expected to set a new standard for senior care services utilizing AI technology in Korean society as it approaches entry into a super-aged society.

The 'AI Senior Living Solution' that the two companies will present focuses on providing customized care services optimized for individuals by comprehensively analyzing residents' lifestyle, health, and facility operation data. In particular, using ambient sensors installed in bedrooms, the system detects subtle biometric signals such as heart rate and movement 24 hours a day, even while residents are sleeping. Through this, when abnormal signs such as falls or health issues occur, the system proactively recognizes them and supports necessary measures.

This is recognized as a core capability of future-oriented care services that prevent accidents by monitoring seniors' biometric signals in real-time. One of the most notable features of the solution is that "ambient sensors detect heart rate and movement during sleep 24 hours a day, and support proactive response when abnormal signs occur."

It also brings innovative changes in facility operations. The solution allows all information to be grasped at a glance through an intuitive dashboard and automates repetitive and standardized tasks using AI chatbot functions. By integrating information that was previously managed individually, facility managers can reduce administrative burden and focus more on in-depth communication and care work with residents. The specific benefits of "automating repetitive tasks through an intuitive dashboard and AI chatbot and consolidating individually managed information so that facility managers can focus on care work" provide concrete advantages of maximizing operational efficiency and improving service quality.

The solution to be introduced this time is scheduled to be first applied at 'Caring Stay Uijeongbu Arboretum,' a care-type senior town operated by NewSeniorLife. The two companies plan to thoroughly analyze operational data at this location and reflect feedback to continuously enhance the service. After successful initial operations, the companies plan to expand the solution to NewSeniorLife's new locations.

The business agreement between Samsung C&T's Construction Division and NewSeniorLife is expected to become an important turning point in driving qualitative innovation in senior housing and care services in an aging society. Beyond simple construction, it demonstrates Samsung C&T's strategic vision to expand its business into the smart living solutions sector, while signaling positive ripple effects AI technology will have across the silver industry and changes in the future residential market.
