Authorities have charged a roommate with two counts of murder following the identification of human remains belonging to two missing University of South Florida (USF) doctoral students. The development concludes a widespread search for the students who were initially reported missing and considered endangered.

The suspect was arrested after one of the bodies was discovered, leading to charges of killing the two students.
The investigation began when the two USF doctoral students were reported missing, with police initially considering them endangered. Subsequently, authorities identified human remains as those of Nahida Bristy, one of the missing students. Her identity was confirmed through DNA analysis.
As the investigation progressed, a second set of human remains was recovered, with some reports indicating they were found in Tampa Bay. Officials confirmed these remains belonged to the second missing USF doctoral student, bringing a tragic resolution to the search. The roommate now stands charged with two counts of murder, stemming from the deaths of both individuals.
