The Government Ethics Committee released property disclosures for department heads under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Han-na Jang, who assumed office as president of the Arts Center Korea in April, reported the highest amount of property at 7.817 billion won, drawing particular attention for her possession of expensive musical instruments including a cello worth approximately 1.3 billion won.
According to the property details disclosed by President Jang, in addition to real estate such as an apartment in Gangnam-gu, Seoul (1.28 billion won) and a single-family house in California, USA (653.49 million won), she holds domestic and foreign deposits of 2.778 billion won and securities of 1.737 billion won. In particular, befitting her reputation as an acclaimed cellist, expensive musical instruments were included in her property list, drawing attention, such as a cello worth approximately 1.371 billion won with a bow and a Steinway piano worth approximately 133.74 million won.
In the "2026 7th Regular Property Disclosure Status" announced this time, the property scales of department heads under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism were disclosed in varying amounts. Kim Kyung-bae, director of the Korea Craft and Design Foundation, reported property of 2.236 billion won, and Jun Woo-yong, president of the King Sejong Institute Foundation, reported 1.939 billion won. Yoo Mi-jung, director of the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, recorded 1.460 billion won, and Kim Seung-soo, president of Korea Tourism Organization, recorded 613.26 million won.
In contrast, Hwang Kyo-ik, director of the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, reported property of only 56.65 million won while disclosing liabilities amounting to 1.325 billion won, presenting a stark contrast to President Jang Han-na's property scale.
